Catherine Bell

A dusk shoot in Brooklyn with the talented, kind and gorgeous Catherine Bell was just what we needed to put us in New Years Eve spirit! Between crimping her hair and smoking up her beautiful eyes we caught up about her new clean skincare line Everliving Beauty, teasers about upcoming projects, her daughter Gemma who is a rad artist (check her new site here!) fitness goals, Bare essentials and her inspiring thoughts on going into a fresh new year. Can’t wait for more from this female force in 2023!

This new year is very exciting for me and I think for many of us. 2022 was of course much better than 2020/2021! But it was still kind of a transition year as life started looking normal again. I feel so much hope and excitement for 2023. Spending a lot of time the last several weeks really thinking about what I want to do, create, BE in this new year. I’m a big believer in deciding and KNOWING it will be … or even better: that it IS that way. Like deciding, ‘I am in the best shape and health ever’ as opposed to, ‘I will be… or I’m going to…’ Much more definite and real.

Personally, I’m really excited about a couple projects I’m developing. Really looking forward to bringing those to life this coming year. One of them involves an intense true story- about a mother and daughter - and is an opportunity to act alongside my real daughter playing my daughter in the movie! Can’t wait to share her talent with the rest of the world.
I’ve gotten really serious about fitness the last half of 2022. I realize it was time to make exercise a regular part of my life and not just do it in spurts before a movie or photo shoot! I think this is the first time I’ve really just done it for me. To feel good, be healthy, build muscle. Not only for the aesthetic, although that’s a nice bonus for sure but because it supports my joints and bones, and sets me up for a better next few decades! Excited to share some of what my trainer and I have been working on with some workout videos coming in about a month!
Skin care wise… I’ve always been very big on maintenance. Taking care of your skin at home is key! Always wash your makeup off & use a good moisturizer daily! My frustration at the lack of “clean” (non-toxic) and affordable products led me to start my own skincare line I’m super excited about. Organic/non-toxic ingredients. Good for your skin. Our first product is a retinol/collagen face cream that you can really use it anywhere! It brightens skin, reduces dark spots & lines. It’s also great for people with sensitive skin. The feedback we’ve gotten has been incredible! Makes me so happy that people like it. Our next product is coming out in just a few weeks and it’s a firming neck cream, which I think almost any woman can appreciate!
And then outside maintence- like getting a facial every once in a while and then there’s so many amazing lasers and mild peels or microneedling these days. You can pick 1 every 3-6 months even & give your skin an extra boost. My favorite one currently is Clear and Brilliant. Couple days of slight pink dry skin, looks like a very mild sunburn & then that flakes off to baby soft skin.

Catherine’s current Bare essentials:

Ilia Super Serum skin tint after my moisturizer for a natural glow

Ogee Lip oil in Petunia for the sheerest touch of pink and hydration

COFFEE I love organic Hemisphere Coffee I buy whole beans and grind them a teaspoon of honey and organic half/half (sometimes I blend in a bit of butter)

I think my next skincare bare essential with be my firming neck cream #coming soon

For a daily recharger (besides coffee!) I love the Ultima Replenisher with electrolytes and vitamins
